The view from the top is rarely what you imagined

You set the goal. You pushed. You achieved it.

For a moment—elation.

Then a quiet hollowness.

Sound familiar?

You’re not alone.

It’s called the arrival fallacy – the belief that achieving a goal will bring long lasting happiness.

Many leaders I work with often say “There must be something more.”

There is.

But where do you start? 👇

1.     Clarify your core values.

·      Is it integrity, fairness, respect?

·      Test it:  Is it something I would not compromise even if it cost me?

·      Feel it.   The instinctive resistance when it’s challenged.  That’s your compass.

2.     Uncover your purpose

·      When have you felt this is why I do what I do?

·      Not sure? It’s often about achieving something greater than just for yourself.

·      Is it helping your team grow?  Having great social impact through the work you do?

3.     Live it daily

·      Let your values guide -  make decisions based on your values especially when it’s difficult.

·      Move towards your purpose – one intentional step at a time.

Values anchor your choices.

Purpose fuels your leadership.

That’s how ambition gains meaning.

It’s building an enduring  fire that burns within.

Not the fleeting flickers of achievement but the warmth of knowing why you strive.

Does this resonate?

Would you like help exploring this?

I’m here.
