Have you ever made a new year’s resolution?

Whether it’s to exercise more, be better at managing emotions or develop executive presence?

All worthy goals.

That you know will be good for you.

Yet you’ve not managed to keep to it?

It’s not that you don’t want to achieve them,

It’s because you forget.

During key moments of choice.

After a stressful day at work it’s easier to reach for the bottle of wine or slab of cake because you’ve earned it.

Than to remember how much better you will feel losing a few pounds

or not waking up with a fuzzy head.

So how do you remember what you really want?

During key moments of choice? 👇

1. Try to remember the emotions and thoughts associated with achieving what you want.

2. What would it be like if you lost a few pounds or that you held the room during Board meetings?

3. What would you be thinking, what would you be saying to yourself and what would you be feeling?

4. How will you remember all of this? Is it a word, a phrase, a picture?

5. Visualise using your reminder of what you really want during a key moment of choice.

It will help you make the choice that leads you to what you really want.

Does it sound rather challenging?

It should.

Change is difficult.

Working with a coach will help you stay accountable so that you’re more likely to achieve what you really want.
