I coach executives in transition such as taking up a new role with a larger business remit.

With a larger role, often comes more people to manage.

One of my clients felt that they spent most of their time listening to their teams challenges and

telling them what to do

leaving little time to do their own work.

What would happen if you didn’t?

Instead of telling them what to do,

you asked open questions such as:

1. What you do you suggest we do?

2. How would you approach this?

3. What is the real challenge for you now?

and then let silence do its work?

You might find that silence allows your team to come up with the answers to their challenges with minimal input from you

Freeing you to focus on what you need to do.
