How to stop negative self-talk. Dead

“I can’t do this.”

“I don’t know what I’m doing.”

“They all know more than me.”

Sound familiar?

These lies whisper in my head every time I step up to lead a workshop.

Even now, after years of doing it.

Even after nailing it more times than I can count.

Here’s how I shut it down 👇

1.     Acknowledge the BS

·      "Ah. Here we go again. Brain’s having a meltdown. Fine. Have your 10-second wobble—then we’re done."

2.     Distract & Disarm

·       Replace the noise with something silly.

·       My go-to? A cow. (Yes, really.) Picture it—mooing, staring. Sorted. Laughter cuts through the panic

3.     Call your own bluff

·       “Is this true?”

·       Spoiler: No. You’ve prepared. You’ve succeeded before. The proof’s in your past.

4.     Remember your wins

·       Flip it: "Remember last time? When you thought you’d mess it up—and then didn’t?" Exactly.

5.     Ground yourself (literally)

·       Feet flat. Breathe slow.

·       You’re here. You’re ready. Now go.

How do you silence the noise?
