How to stay calm in the midst of chaos

How do you regulate your feelings in such turmoil?
1. Pause.
Impulsivity is your enemy.
Notice your feelings and name them.
This helps separate you from your feelings.
You are not your feelings
2. Reappraise
Be curious. Ask:
Is this situation as bad as you thought?
Are these feelings useful?
Have you successfully dealt with similar situations before?
Asking such questions brings your logical mind back online helping you calm down.
3. Respond
How do you wish to show up in this situation?
What else would you do to stay calm in chaos?
