Acknowledge the fear and do it anyway

I coach leaders in transition such as taking on a larger role.

Much excitement comes with a larger role.

But also fear.

Fear of mistakes.

Fear of not being good enough.

Fear of not knowing what you’re doing.

And ultimately, fear of failure.

Sure. It could happen.

But really,

What are the chances?

You were offered a larger role for a reason.

Trust those who offered you the role know what they’re doing

Even if you don’t trust yourself - yet.

Fear is an indicator that you’re out of your comfort zone.

Where growth happens.

Which is what a lot of my clients want.

Acknowledge the fear and do it anyway.

After all, isn’t an “oops better than a what if?”
