The power of a Thank You

I coach executives in transition such as taking up a role with a larger business remit.
They’re extremely motivated and keen to show what they can do.
They focus on deliveries.
Driving those around them.
They deliver results.
But.
Sometimes at the expense of relationships.
So how do you deliver and still build relationships in your new role?
Questions to ask yourself:
1. When was the last time you publicly acknowledged the contribution of others?
2. What would happen if you said “thank you” with sincerity?
We all want to be acknowledged for our contributions. Even your leaders.
We might know this but sometimes forget as we’re caught up in our “busyness”.
Make a note to acknowledge others for their efforts regularly.
It’s quick and requires little effort.
But a small gesture such as this goes a long way for the other person.
Try it and make a note of what changes in your relationships.
