The art of the Pause

When asked a question,

we often answer straight away.

Like a reflex.

Sometimes our responses are good.

Often they’re rushed.

And not thought through.

You come across as under pressure.

And in a panic.

Not in control.

So.

Pause.

It breaks the rhythm of the discussion.

Which means your audience will want to hear what you have to say.

You’ll control the room.

Then respond.

Your answers are likely to more thoughtful and considered.

Which means your audience will be even more eager to hear what you have to say next.
